About the Body Beast Creator: Sagi Kalev
Sagi Kalev was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. This is where he started his early career in bodybuilding. Although it was put on pause when he entered into the service of the Israeli Army. After a four-year tour, including participating in Operation Desert Storm, he was able to resume his career in bodybuilding and weightlifting. During which, he was able to capture two “Mr. Israel” titles.
He later immigrated to the United States, in 1993, where he obtained his degree in physical education from the University of Central Florida. Later he moved to California and began modeling when he was discovered in a local gym. From there his career started to soar, and he was featured in magazines such as Men’s Workout Magazine, Health & Fitness, Hardcore Muscle, and Muscle & Fitness.
In 2011 Sagi partnered with Beach Body where he began to develop his now widely popular workout Body Beast. In 2012 he launched the program and he has been able to help thousands of men, and even some women, take their already good physique and transform it into amazing. Today he makes his home in Dallas, Texas where he is a Clinical Nutritionist as well as a trainer. He continues to help hundreds of individuals reach their maximum fitness potential.
What’s the Beef with Body Beast?
There are hundreds of workout programs out there. So what is it that sets Body Beast apart from the rest? It’s because Body Beast is the first of its kind. It is one of the only at home programs on the market right now that combines bodybuilding, nutrition, and supplements. This program integrates muscle building and growth-inducing workouts along with a bodybuilding eating plan to help you achieve maximum bulking results.

The Ways of the Body Beast
This workout is effective for several reasons. These are the three components of the three part system used to induce massive muscle results. Between the bodybuilding workouts, the right diet, and the added all natural supplements it makes a beastly combination. Let’s take a second though, and focus on how the actual bodybuilding program works.
Sagi created this effective workout by using what he likes to call, Dynamic Set Training. Dynamic Set Training is a relatively new breakthrough in sports science. It works by using and combining single sets, super sets, giant sets, progression sets, drop sets, tempo sets, and more. It also adds resistance and is intended to exhaust the muscles, activate more muscle fibers, and naturally boost testosterone levels. And Beast Body has been able to accomplish this more successfully than any other at home training system.
Now, you may be wondering what the difference is between all of the various sets that were listed above. A single set, is the most simple of the weight training sets. It requires you to preform X number of sets using the same number of repetitions and using the same amount of weight. A Super Set is when you work the same muscle group using two or more different movements. For example, you can combine lunges with squats or bench presses with push-ups. It forces the same muscles to be worked in sequence without rest in between.
Another set type is Progression Sets (or sometimes called Pyramid Sets) and these sets are when you manipulate the weight used and repetition preformed as you go through your workout. For example, in the first set you can do 15 reps with 50 pounds; in the second set you’ll preform 12 reps with 60 pounds; and then in the third set you’ll do 10 reps with 70 pounds.
And yet another one of the sets that are done in this workout are the Giant Sets. These combine groupings of four or more exercises. And then Drop Sets help increase muscle mass and muscle endurance by exhausting the muscle to the point of muscle failure. (This means that the muscle cannot physically lift the weight anymore but it is still capable of the movement with no or lighter weight.)
Despite what different type of set or groups of sets you use that day, all of them in combination over time is what is going to help you drop fat and build the lean muscle mass you’ve always wanted.
