About the Focus T25 Creator: Shaun T
Shaun Thompson began his life in New Jersey. Born and raised on the East Coast, Shaun always had a passion for life and people. During his senior year of high school he was offered two options for his future. One, he could take an athletic scholarship at one university. Or, he could take an academic scholarship at a different university. After careful consideration Shaun chose to go the academic route. He found himself at Rowan University and there he began his journey into becoming the man we all know and love as Shaun T.
It was at Rowan University that Shaun discovered his passion and zeal for personal training. But it wasn’t any easy road getting there. During his time at Rowan he was given an unlimited card pass to his cafeteria. Which he used freely. One day, when Shaun looked in the mirror, he couldn’t recognize what was looking back. It was then he decided to make a few lifestyle changes. He started working out everyday religiously. He changed his diet and began to eat correctly. He even changed his major to sports medicine. And it was in one of those classes that Shaun discovered his love and talent for training.
After Shaun graduated from Rowan with a B.S. in sports science he moved to L.A., California where he began a career in choreographing and dancing. Soon after he decided to open his own studio and quickly became one of the most sought after trainers in the area. His colorful combination of fitness and choreography eventually caught the attentions of Beach Body. And it was in one of his classes that Vice President, Lara Ross, approached him about coming and making a pitch at their corporate office. Shaun T not wanting to miss this opportunity went with his team and showed CEO, Carl Daikeler, what they had. Soon after, in February 2007, Hip Hop Abs was born.
Since then Shaun T has developed numerous systems including, Hip Hops Abs, Insanity, Insanity Asylum, and now Focus T25.
